Time for change, time to move foward

For the past year I have been longing for a larger home, but things just were not moving in the direction I wanted them to. Almost 6 years ago I brought my current home. It was my first home purchase and I was elated. I have been happy and content, it has served me well for the last few years, but I’m ready to move forward to a new house that is larger than my current home. I have been watching HGTV shows about people searching for new homes and dreamed along with them as they toured the homes looking for that special home.
During one of the shows I watch often, one of the real estate people was explaining to a home owner things she needed to do to get her home sold. As I listened, all of a sudden I realized I have been living in the past and if I wanted to move forward I needed to live in the future. I looked around my home, it was comfortable but cluttered. The walls had to many pictures on them, I had too much furniture stuffed in every corner. I realized I needed to make some changes, so on this first day of the new year that is what I started doing. I began uncluttering the walls and removing the extra furniture as if I was preparing to display my home for sale. In the coming days I will touch up the paint and do other small home repairs.
