I love the smell of chicken cooking. I was playing one day trying to come up with a good recipe for a homecooked meal. I went out to my garden and gathered some vegetables. I picked some tomatoes, green beans, a small cabbage, dug up some potatoes and other vegetables. I brought them in the house. I washed a whole chicken and placed it in a pan. Now what can I do? I went through my cupboard to see what interesting things I had and found some stove top stuffing. Stuffing is always good with chicken, but I wanted something a little different.

I thought for a moment and then I got the idea to use the stuffing on top of the chicken. So I prepared the stuffing and let it cool slightly. I then loosen the skin on top of the whole chicken. I placed the stuffing under the chicken skin placing it on top of the breast and along the legs. I then placed some stuffing inside the chicken. I washed the vegetables and cut them up placing them around the chicken in the pan. I opened a can of chicken broth and poured it over the vegetables in the pan around the chicken.
I covered the pan with tin foil and placed it in a 350 oven.
I baked it for about 1 1/2 hours.
I then checked it and to my surprise the stuffing had puffed up and was juicy on top of the chicken. I removed the tin foil and let it cook for aother 20 minutes until everything was a golden brown.
This was one of the best tasting chicken dinners. The flavor from the stove top stuffing had cooked into the chicken and the vegetables.

I love a good tasting meatloaf. While having a conversation with a friend one day she was telling me of a recipe that someone suggested to her.

The recipe was to use a box of Stove Top Stuffing for mixing in with hamburger for making a meatloaf. This recipe idea stayed in my mind. So one day I was shopping at my local grocery store and they had hamburger on a special sale in 3 pound rolls. So I brought one of the hamburger rolls and tried out the recipe.

I opened the plastic cover on the hamburger and dumped it into a glass bowl. I then broke it up into pieces with my hands. I added two eggs and then opened a box of chicken stove top stuffing and dumped it right on top. I mixed it up using my hands until thoroughly mixed.
I then placed the meat mixture in a round deep baking pan and formed the meat mixture to fit the pan.

I baked it in a 350 oven for about one and a half hours. I took the pan out of the oven and drained off the fat and grease. I then opened up two can of Campbell’s Mushroom Soup and put it on top of the meatloaf spreading it out evenly.

I then continued baking the meatloaf for about another hour.

For dinner that night I was pleasantly surprised by the taste. It had all the flavor of stove top stuffing and the meat was very firm. This was one of the best meatloaves I had tasted.

From now on this is going to be my favorite way of making a meatloaf. When I make it again I will try a different flavor of Stove Top Stuffing and use Campbell’s Tomato Soup for a different taste.

As I was thinking of how great this was I then got to thinking, this would be good for making a tasty meatball recipe, stuffed peppers or for making hamburgers to be cooked out on the BBQ Grill.

This my favorite receipe. I found a recipe in a cookbook several years ago. I was playing with adding different cooking spices and was pleased with the out come. When I make this zucchini bread I get many compliments from friends and co-workers. This zucchini bread recipe is great for summer picnics, Christmas or to give as a home cooked gift.

Recipe:
PREP Time: 25 minutes (Ready to serve in 2 hours)
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease and lightly flour 3 bread pyrex glass loaf pans. Size 8x 3/34 x 2 1/2 set aside.

Grate 2 medium zucchini and measure out 2 cups and set aside.

3 Cups of Pillsbury Best Flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon of pumpkin spice
1 cup of vegetable oil
3 whole eggs
1/2 cup of domino granulated sugar
1 cup of firmly packed domino dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
2 cups of grated Zucchini
1 and 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts
1 cup of sunmaid raisins

Measure and mix all dry ingredients into mixing bowl and set aside. Combine oil, sugars and eggs in a separate mixing bowl. Blend well

with mixing spoon and then add to dry ingredients and blend well. Stir in vanilla and zucchini, then add chopped walnuts and raisins,

mix well.
Measure out evenly into the 3 bread loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes. Oven temperatures may vary, so check after 45

minutes by inserting a toothpick in center of bread. If it comes out clean remove bread, if toothpick is not clean continue cooking for

additional 10 to 15 minutes.
Once the zucchini bread is done baking, remove from oven and let stand 15 minutes.

Remove bread from pans. Let bread cool for another 20 minutes, then slice and serve. 6 servings per loaf.

I have made these for my family and friends. They have always been a big hit.

To make my favorite bread sticks you will need a package of frozen bread dough. Remove 2 frozen loafs and let stand at room temperature until almost thawed but still firm.

Slice each bread dough into about 12 slices that are about inch thick.

Take each slice and roll in between your hands to form a rope. Lay it on a cookie sheet that has been sprayed with Pam Cooking Spray. After you have finished all the slices let them rise at room temperture for a couple of hours. After a couple of hours the rope bread slices will double in size and spread.

Preheat your oven to 350. While you are waiting for the oven to preheat, melt some butter in the microwave. Take the melted butter and brush onto the dough. After you have covered the dough in butter then sprinkel garlic salt lightly over the dough. Now shake Parmesan cheese over the dough.

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until a nice light golden color. You may sprinke more Parmesan cheese on the warm bread sticks.

Serve with additional butter and your favorite dish and enjoy.
