Have you been considering a blog? Have you asked yourself, what do I blog about? Well, some of the first questions you should ask yourself are:

What do I enjoy doing?
Is there something I want to learn?
Can I help others?

Have you been considering a blog? Have you asked yourself, what do I blog about? Well, some of the first questions you should ask yourself are:

What are things I’m interested in?

What do I enjoy doing?

Is there something I want to learn?

Can I help others?

Once you have answered the questions above, you then research online for any information that may help you. You can find blogs on every topic. There are even forum discussion groups where people join to share their views. Join a couple of these groups and follow along to see what questions are being asked and what is being talked about to help you with ideas on what you can blog about.

Your next step is getting a place to blog. There are free blogs places out there like Blogger, but they offer limited features. My suggestions is to learn about WordPress, register a catchy domain name and setup a wordpress site that you can blog on. With all the latest technology, WordPress is a bloggers dream software and there are many blog templates called themes that will spice of your blog site. In addition to the wp themes there are many many plug-ins that can be installed to further enhance your blog. If all this sounds confusing, then you can hire someone to register a domain name for you, setup hosting and install WordPress.

The bottom line is we all have something to share and blogging is a good way to share your knowledge. Once you get your feet wet and jump into the blogging world, you may find it enjoyable.

If you need help in setting up a blog, or even a simple business card site that you can blog about your services I offer WordPress website services. Just visit my site Themes In Design and I will help you to get online and blogging.

Did you know you should flip your mattress at least once every 30 days. We change our sheets on the bed to remove orders, perspiration, stains, dust mites.

We spend good money on a comfort mattress to help get a good nights sleep without breaking our posture.

While it is nice to sleep on good supportive and comfortable mattresses, we need to flip the mattresses, as we sleep our body weight pushes down and the fiber materials used to made the mattress adjusts to your body and can then shift, becoming lumpy and loose its firmness. So by flipping your mattress all the materials that shifted to the bottom will now be under you.

Even the pillow top mattresses need to be flipped. I have a double pillow mattress that I brought about 4 years ago. I can tell when I sleep that if I toss and turn alot trying to find a comfortable spot that it is time to flip my mattress. Once you flip your mattress you will tell right away as when you lay on your mattress it will again be firm and solid and you can feel the tight supportive weight under you.

So if you want to sleep better on your mattress…… flip it.

A friend told me once during a business meeting that taking time to read can open my mind and expand my knowledge.

He then stated “before you tell me, your are too busy to read, try this”.

Pick a book you have been meaning to read and just read 10 pages a day.

Read the 10 pages during your morning coffee, take a few minutes and sit outside in the fresh air and read the 10 pages.

You will be surprized that by only reading 10 pages a day you could almost read a 300 page book in a month.

Let’s break it down:

Reading 10 pages a day in 7 days adds up to 70 pages. Now multiply this by 4 the number of weeks in a month and this adds up to 280 pages.

When our meeting came to an end, this stayed with me. So when I got home I went to my book shelf and looked at the books I had sitting on the shelves waiting for me to read them over the past several months, some I even had for over a year and the pages had yet been opened, their stories and knowledge left undiscovered.

As I browsed through the books and picked up some of them I checked out how many pages they each had.

Here are some of the books I looked at:

The Slight Edge “Secret to a Successful Life”- 168 pages
By Jeff Olson

The Healing Power of Pets - 270 pages
By Dr. Marty Becker

Life Strategies – 282
By Phillip C. McGraw, Ph.D.

Just looking at these 3 books I could have read these books in about 3 months instead of leaving them sitting on the shelf for 12 months.

So do yourself and your books a favor………read 10 pages a day!
