I’m sure many feel the same why I do about increased rates at Comcast. Seems like they are adding to the economy problem and making people choose between having a fast connection or going without Internet service.
With the economy in a mess right now, auto companies in trouble causing other companies to have problems along with high food prices making it difficult to meet your household needs, Comcast keeps raising its rates. Are they working with the economy or making things harder for the economy?
The other day I was paying my bills and I opened my Comcast bill and there was a sweet little note on the bill saying “December 1 2008 due to higher cost of doing business, including programming costs and service improvements there will be the following price increase”. I just shook my head…………….rate increase again! Come on Comcast…..everyone has bills to pay, but the average consumer does not get to charge an increased rate when the service goes out on a cold winter day, leaving you with no TV, no phone and no Internet access. So this is part of Comcast’s service improvements?
When you go to watch their programming there are poor TV shows to choose from and if you want the better channels you have to pay additional rates.
Growing up I was told to be prepared and always have a rainy day savings or backup up funds, guess that does not count when you are a large company as you just increase your customer’s rates.
So with everyone struggling to make ends meet, Comcast adds to the problem with rate increases. I wonder if they will give me a discount for their “service improvements” as I sit here with no Internet access, no digital phone and no cable TV.
i agree comcast is great service but expensive.
