High Blood Pressure – Get Answers for your health
ByFor the last 3 years I have not felt well. I had been having problems with swelling in my legs. I had been to several doctors and none had the answers. I had even went to Hospital emergancy and had a 4000 dollar bill and still came home with no answers. I do not have insurance and can not afford to pay for private insurance. It has been a constance worry as why the swelling in my legs. A couple of times I had been to the doctors they said my blood pressure was a little high but none really took the time to educate me and work with me. High blood pressure know as Hypertension CAN lead to secondary problems which I discovered.
In September of 2008 I had one of those Electrodermal Screening computer scans. It picked up on some bad kidney problems, along with some lymphatic system blockage and the health person put me on some holicostic natural health meds and lymphatic drainer.
In January of 2009 I was feeling really bad, depressed, very tired, no energy, light headed, wanted to sleep alot. With not having insurance I did not go to the doctor on a regular visits and did not have a good family doctor I felt comfortable with or trusted.
Finally getting up one Monday morning and tired of feeling poorly I called an made an appointment with a medical center I had been too a few times. They noted my blood presure was a lot higher and put me on blood pressure medications. She was NOT a compassionate doctor and got me in and out as fast as she could. I even told her about the Electrodermal Screening I had in September and the noted kidney problems. Her comment was that was in September do not worry about it. Upon coming home I looked up the medicine she gave me on Wikipedia® and followed links.
To my surprise the infomation I found out hit me like a ton of bricks. Many of my symptoms over the last couple of years all revolved around high blood pressure which can lead to/ cause kidney problems and lymphatic system problems which leads to swelling. In some cases with advanced symptoms it can cause a feeling run down, depleted, fatigued, “out of sorts”, depressed, or a combination of all the symptoms.
Not one of these doctors I had seen over the past several years took the time to explain this to me, point out or go over any and all possible problems high blood pressure can cause. Not one of these doctors took the time to dig deeper as to why the swelling in my legs…….mostly because I DID NOT have health insurance and they would not benifit from me in getting paid a large sum of money.
So if you are like me with health problems and no insurance with no trusted family doctor do some research on the internet and then go to the doctor with your findings and ask them questions.
Kidney disease can occur when high blood pressure damages the delicate parts of the kidneys. The kidneys gradually stop working. They can no longer remove wastes and excess fluid from the blood. If the kidneys fail, then dialysis or a kidney transplant is needed to prevent death. My question is “when I mentioned to the doctor about a noted kidney problem from a different source……..she blew it off???
All I can hope is that it is not too late for me and my health problems and that I can get back to feeling well again. Now I know why high blood pressure is often called the “silent killer.”
